Doesn’t have to be an autocrat or dictator – talking more about the quality of leadership
2 stereotypes?  – tough no nonsense or easy going
Two dimensions of leadership – Task behaviour (telling people what to do) and Supportive behaviour (explaining, encouraging, facilitating)
Need to be able to do both styles to suit all circumstances and all team members.  More directive in early stages relaxing as team matures
